The Use of Drama Therapy for Mode Work with Difficult Patients

Trainer:

Elsa van den Broek

Kurs-Nummer:

WS 19-5

Inhalt:

Dramatherapy is the intentional use of Drama and/or Theater processes to achieve therapeutic goals. It is active and experiential. The dramatherapeutic approach can provide the context for participants to tell their stories, to set goals and solve problems, express feelings, or achieve catharsis. Through drama, the depth and breadth of inner experience can be actively explored and interpersonal relationships can be enhanced.

Dramatherapists around the world have integrated the schematherapeutic work, since modes are very similar to the concept of roles in Dramatherapy. They all represent different sides of the participant/client. A focus in this workshop especially is set on the work with "difficult" clientes, f.e. severe personality disorders in forensic settings
